Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) and UBM Sinoexpo entered into a 10-year strategic cooperation in October of 2014.

"As a leading tradeshow organizer, we are excited by this long-term strategic partnership.Currently UBM Sinoexpo holds many large-scale events in SNIEC like Furniture China, CPhI China, ICSE & BioPh China, Hotelex Shanghai, Build Expo, etc. which have all developed into leading tradeshows for these sectors in Asia. Among them, Furniture China has become the largest tradeshow in Shanghai for any industry, attracting many overseas exhibitors and buyers each year. We believe this new deep relationship will create many growth opportunities for both parties and better value for our customers. We look forward to a prosperous partnership with SNIEC,” said Mr. Wang Mingliang, founder and executive director of UBM Sinoexpo.

"We are honored by the trust our customer has placed in us. The recognition is also an encouragement for us to improve our services continuously. As a world-class exhibition venue, SNIEC has maintained a good cooperation with UBM Sinoexpo since 2002 when the first UBM Sinoexpo event took place at SNIEC (Furniture China). Over the 12 years, we have witnessed how UBM Sinoexpo’s events became world-class leaders. The closer partnership for the next 10 years will further consolidate and enhance competitiveness of both parties, and ensure a stable operating environment with even better service for our customers," added Mr. Michael Kruppe, SNIEC General Manager.

As the first large-scale venue built and operated under a sino-foreign joint venture in China, SNIEC has achieved phenomenal success with over 100 international and national exhibitions and attracting more than 4 million visitors each year since its grand opening on Nov 2, 2001, becoming the most experienced international platform for fostering overseas and domestic trade. In 2014, total sold exhibition space is projected to reach 6 million square meters, and the business outlook for the coming years continues to be promising.

In order to continue the success, SNIEC management under the new leadership of General Manager Michael Kruppe has already commenced, since early this year, the implementation of a series of measures to lift SNIEC to the next service level --- SNIEC 2.0, aims to strengthen SNIEC’s position as the venue with the best quality service in China.

Besides the already launched program of customer satisfaction improvement based on a recent survey of customer needs, SNIEC has also kicked off the development of long-term strategic partnerships with key customers. Currently some 70% of customers have signed long-term agreements with SNIEC. Some leading organizers like UBM Sinoexpo even concluded 10-year cooperation with SNIEC.

This series of strategic measures will further boost the trust and confidence of leading international and domestic organizers in SNIEC, and present an accurate interpretation of the brand concept, ‘Experience & Excellence’, which has been well received by the exhibition industry.
